You Know Your A Grandma When

Sara called with the BIG NEWS last night!! Yep, you guessed it, ELMO is going to be in town. Since Peyton is a certified, number one, "Melmo" fan we are going to spend 40 dollars apiece to go to a huge theater full of screaming toddlers to see this amazing event. And to top it all off, we are looking forward to it. Since the event isn't until Saturday, we will just have to keep ourselves calm until then, but I can tell you this, I am one Grandma who wouldn't miss it for the world. Best be believing I will take lots of photos to post over the weekend.

Water Fun

The good news about living in a hot climate is that there is a lot of time to fave fun in the water. We all went to Maddie and Kennedies birthday party on Sunday. Peyton was a little tentative in the bouncy house with the climbing wall for all of about 5 minutes, and then, it was some major fun. He was climbing the wall on his own and whizzing down the slide.

After changing in to his swimsuit it was even more fun to get lots of speed coming down that same slide after it had been hosed down! That's him at the bottom of the slide with all his fans!

And then, it was time for pool fun with Maddie. They had a blast.

Now, I can't wait for the pool in our yard to warm up. It's going to be a fun summer of swimming. Supposed to hit 103 today!! Whew!!

Goodbye Spring, Hello Summer

When you live in Arizona you really appreciate the weather most of the year, notice I said most, not all. And then you realize on April 19, that it is already 93 degrees by noon. I guess that means the Spring time, windows open time of year is coming to an end and summer is almost here. Oh, well, the good news is, the pool will start warming up and we'll be swimming before too long!

Easter Sunday!!

Jesus Christ is Risen, He is Risen Indeed!! After celebrating Maundy Thursday and the memorial of the Last Supper, and then going to Good Friday Services, to be reminded of the seriousness of the sin that Jesus bore on the Cross, it is such a blessed Easter Sunday to Celebrate the Resurrection and New Life we have in Christ!!

For us that means one of the most special church services of the year and time with family!! We spent the day at Sara and Scott's along with both of Scott's brothers and families. Scott fixed his first ham and it was fabulous! Sara planned an Easter Egg hunt for the bigger boys, then they helped Peyton hunt his eggs after his nap. He loved finding the eggs and putting them in his bunny basket. He loves the Easter Bunny and takes every opportunity he can to say "BUNNY".

Scott, John and Jen enjoying watching the action of the hunt.

Sara caught it all on camera.....

Peyton stops to check out his find.....

Once he got the hang of it he was picking up two at a time and running from egg to egg. Cameron was a great helper....

One last egg for a full basket!! Happy Easter everyone.

Luncheon for Debbie

My friend Debbie, will be leaving Arizona for her beloved Colorado Rockies and a brand new home in the next week. She has been part of our weekly bible study since we started with 4 women around a lap top. After our study last Thursday morning we had a fun time with a pot-luck lunch. Lots of laughter and wonderful food made by "good Christian women" made for a great time. It will be great to have a good friend we can visit in the mountains! We are already talking about a trip in September. Debbie is the one in the front row, second from right with the blue blouse. God Speed Deb, we love you!!!

Farewell Faithful Friend

Our 15-year-old yellow Lab, Molly, let us know this week that is was time to let her go. She was a squirrel hunter extrodinaire, Bruce's constant companion and helped me raise "her boy", Tyler. From a frisky young dog who once peed on my bed(!), she grew to be a grand old lady. She will be missed by us all.
